What ahould I wear? mall/movie/dinner with friends?

I am going out tomorrow and I have two possible outfits. They both involve denim bermuda shorts but for the shirts it can either be a aqua tanktop and gold gladiator sandals, or my schools art club t shirt and some black flipflops. Any Ideas?
